FMCSA SAFER

SafeData filters for California truck accident outcomes, applies jurisdiction and fault-rule normalization, and shows a comparable-case range.

How we use this data
- •Case-value estimates come from comparable-case analysis: CourtListener verdicts filtered by jurisdiction, injury category, and fault-rule normalization (contributory / modified / pure comparative).
- •Carrier safety pages show FMCSA fleet size, two-year crash/fatality counts, safety rating, and the largest verdict in our comparable-case set.
- •Statute-of-limitations notices reference California’s current personal-injury statute. We surface the deadline but never advise on whether it applies to a specific case.
What our data is not
SafeData aggregates public records and compares them. We do not predict outcomes, value cases beyond the range of comparable verdicts, or assert legal conclusions. A case-value estimate is a starting point for your conversation with counsel — not a substitute. See our disclaimer for the full scope.
